MANIAMANIA is a jewellery Label by Melanie Kamsler and Tamila Purvis it's evolving aesthetic honours the notion of the mystical in all its incarnations and respects adornment as a modern luxury
and mode of personal symbology and expression.

The début collection "Real Life awaits us", campaign imagery and short film established MANIAMANIA's presence in significant print and online publication. In the Form of luxe handmade treasure, sterling silver and oxidized brass meet with Harlequin Quarts and Calcite crystals across a range of rings, cuffs, amulets, neck pieces and earnings. Inspired by aspects of the Jodorowsky film, 'holy Mountain', and rich synthesis of mesoamerican iconography, geology, 1970's handicrafts, shamanism and magic make for a range of new-worldly forms packaged in a soft bone-coloured leather pouches.

For the seconds collection 'Dust', bronze and silver metals enshrine crystal stones of Black Tourmaline, Turquoise and Aquamarine across a range of rings, cuffs, earrings, charms and neck pieces. The collection visits the iconography of ancient Egypt and the evolving aesthetic, mood and music of pop deity David Bowie. Inspiration are derived directly from icon- an image of a young Bowie dressed as a sphinx in 1969 by photographer Brian Ward, the tabled story of how the colour of one eye was changed when he was hit in the eye by a hand with a heavy ring, his alleged fascination with Egyptology, aspects of the film 'Labyrinth', and lyrics from the song ' Rebel Rebel'. The occult symbolism of eye motifs, hieroglyphics, pyramids, and crystal balls transcend and unexpectedly combine with the candid nature of pop. Two short films featuring Bambi Northwood-Blyth and directed by Fiona McGee, encapsulate the mood and spirit of the collection.
