Let there be light ????, Alexander Wang has turned away from darkness this season, with not one piece of black appearing on the runway, in all honesty I'm saddened by this, but that's just because I'm a dark freak.
"I was looking for something optimistic," he said, "something pure."
I do adore the industrial materials and smock-like dresses, though it brings to my mind a very medical vibe like a deconstruction strait-jacket from a mental institution, but of course I find that rather interesting in a good way as he is definitely expanding his ability, creating new trends and ways of grunge...
like he says.... "If everyone does a skinny jean and motorcycle jacket, it isn't new anymore, is it?"

The Alexander Wang stuff looks amazing...but yeah I do feel a bit weird that there is no black. I like my wardrobe palette in the darker shades....occasionaly flirting with brights, but there is no denying the shape looks amazing and he does make a good point about if everyone is doing the same thing it's not new anymore. Excellent post.
