Rest in peace Daul Kim

Hey sorry for my lack of posts, haven't had the luxury of time to come on the internet lately, hope everyone is well.

Im sure many of you have heard the tragic news of Daul Kim's death, its so heartbreaking that she felt so alone and really shows you never know how people may really be feeling, my heart goes out to her family and friends.

Daul Kim was found in her Paris apartment on November 19th. According to French police she appears to have committed suicide, but this is yet to be confirmed. She like me and you owned a blog entitled “I like to fork myself” on which she shared poetry, photos and music. The last entry in her blog, posted the day before her death was titled "say hi to forever."
Her agents at the modeling agency Next said in a statement. “She was a top model and a great friend to all of us at Next. Please respect her family’s privacy at this time of sadness. We will all miss her very much.”

Rest in peace Daul Kim

“The Big Chill”

When I look at this Editorial from the December issue of Elle US the first thing that comes to mind is "this is so so wrong" but that is in fact what makes it so right, the contrast of model Kate Somers dancing round a beach in full on cosy winter knits while everyone sweats in the heat of summer works so well and gives a wonderful atmosphere and life to the clothing. The fantastic styling of this shoot was by Camille Bidault-Waddington I love the touches of bright red.

Acne S/S 2010

Friday, November 13, 2009

I really love the styling by Paolo Turina in this editorial for the December issue of Amica Italy, there is an elegance to it and a really gorgeous strong femininity. I love the toning of this shoot with the dark and light transitions, staring model Luca Gadjus and photographed by Nadir.

"Little Girl and Boy Lost"

How perfectly fantastic is this Editorial "Little Girl and Boy Lost" from the December issue of Vogue US. This interpretation of the Met's production Hansel and Gretel (which opens December 14) is Photographed by Annie Leibovitz. Hansel and Gretel are played by actor Andrew Garfield and model Lily Cole, and not to mention of course the fabulous feature of Lady Gaga who portrays the wicked old women who wants eat them up, (but I must say if all wicked old women get to wear Marc Jacobs then count me in lol)
Everything about this editorial is picture perfect the from the styling to the incredible scenery and props, this to me is beautiful festive fashion.

Luella Bartley Loses funding (cry)

Its sad new guys, I have just been informed by the fashionindie that Luella Bartley has lost funding for her design brand Luella, and means so that her just seen Spring 2010 collection won't be coming to stores, and its quite unlikely that she will be showing next season (fingers crossed this is not the case)
I find this so saddening, she has such an amazing talent, every one of her collections has been a breath of fresh in the fashion world and she always brings a well needed quirkiness that suits all ages, I really hope this isn't the end of Luella and she keeps fighting I can surly say she will be missed.
Love Love Love to Luella Bartly
