Armani Privé Fall 2009 Paris Haute Couture collection

At 11:00am this morning Giorgio Armani presented his always fabulous haute couture Fall collection,
“It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that Bling” was Giorgio Armani’s message for this collection.
Sequins winked from nipped-in waist jackets, paillettes sparkled on cocktail trouser suits and red carpet gowns were finished with crystal-encrusted, ‘spinal’ zips which draped perfectly on the models bodies. Zips were used as decoration, entwining waists, necks, torsos and hips, or were otherwise encrusted with beads and sequins and worked into an entire dress. Following the show, at the Palais de Chaillot, Mr. Armani hosted a champagne reception in the Musée de l’Homme, next door, to launch his newest fragrance, l’Idole.

I really adore this collection the detail of all the garments is just stunning, and the short black haired wigs give such a great effect drawing more attention to the clothing, it also looks like the shoulder pad look is still going strong in this collection, with some Balmain style jackets in there yet still typically Armani.

Paris Haute Couture: Armani Privé a/w 2009/10 collection - Megan Fox and Cate Blanchett

A delighted Megan Fox – attending her first couture fashion show and wearing a glove-tight, one-shoulder body-con dress from the Italian couturier – sat front row, next to the actress, Cate Blanchett. “My favourite,” enthused Megan Fox, of a flesh-tone, slithery, red carpet column, which was beaded with silver and shimmering fringes and virtually backless.
