Luella Bartley Loses funding (cry)

Its sad new guys, I have just been informed by the fashionindie that Luella Bartley has lost funding for her design brand Luella, and means so that her just seen Spring 2010 collection won't be coming to stores, and its quite unlikely that she will be showing next season (fingers crossed this is not the case)
I find this so saddening, she has such an amazing talent, every one of her collections has been a breath of fresh in the fashion world and she always brings a well needed quirkiness that suits all ages, I really hope this isn't the end of Luella and she keeps fighting I can surly say she will be missed.

Trends S/S 2010: The Body-Conscious Dress

One of the Ultimate trends seen all over the Spring/Summer 2010 runways was the Body-Conscious dress from simple nude cuts at Bruno Pieters, Urban caveman cut outs at Balmain to Spider web knitting at Julien Macdonald, we have certainly been given a fabulous array of choices all with the perfect figure hugging shape that shows of a women's body in all the right places.
I personally love body-con dresses so I'm thrilled to see that it will be all around next spring.

Kurt Geiger inspired by Louis Vuitton Fall 2009

It seems that high-street shoes designer Kurt Geiger has been inspired by the Louis Viutton Fall 2009 shoe collection, with the interesting detailed heel, of course there's a big price difference there of £700. I do think though that they only just about worked at the Fall LV collection and are of course very beautiful but really should not be copied as they need to be perfect to work.

Minimarket Spring/Summer 2010

Two s/s 2010 collections both Minimarket and both very unique and true to the simplistic youthful look of minimarket, both collections have a sporty feel to them with a definite style of horse riding showing in the jogper trousers and the interesting jewelled ridding hats. My favourite piece though has to be the shark bite knit jumper.

Photographer of the Week: Bailey Lachlan

Bailey Lachlan was born and raised in Australia.After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Studies, he spent the following 12 months working within the film industry and on his own short films.

Lachlan became increasingly involved in photography, both on-set and on various personal projects.This led to his decision to return to Universty-gaining a Degree in Photography at one of Australia's most reputable courses.

In 2001, he relocated to London , and after spending next few years assisting various high profile fashion photographers,he went out on his own in 2004.

Lachlan is now a regular contributor to Japanese Vogue,British Vogue,Vogue China and i-D magazine,also working for Arena Homme+,POP and Dazed and Confused.He is currently collaborating with a select group of Fashion editors,including Jonathan Kaye,Jane How,Nancy Rhode and Sarah Ellison.

Lanchan's growing list of commercial clients include;Louis Vuitton,Burberry,Kert Geiger,Paul Smith Fragrance and Aveda.
